2023 GCI Member River Trip, September 3 – 9 2023

Glen Canyon Institute is excited to announce our 2023 member river trip will be on the Colorado River through Meander, Cataract, and Narrow Canyons. This special seven day trip will focus on restoring sections of river and side canyons that GCI and partners have been studying. The trip will feature esteemed environmental author Craig Childs. 

Craig has written more than a dozen books on nature, science, and society and recently joined us on a trip to Glen Canyon and penned this piece about Glen for High Country News.

This seven day, six night trip will follow the Colorado River through Canyonlands National Park winding through Meander, Cataract, and Narrow Canyons. We will experience exhilarating whitewater rapids and ~35 miles of restored Colorado River that has come back to life.

Craig and GCI’s staff and board will help you understand the history and future of this amazing place. As always, the top-notch guides at Holiday River Expeditions will offer rich interpretation of the river experience and provide amazing healthy and delicious meals.
