When the Glen Canyon recovers from inundation and the Colorado River runs freely through the Canyon, there will be hundreds of miles of free flowing river on the Green and Colorado River. This will allow for amazing rafting, kayaking, and canoe opportunities on the river and in Glen Canyon. The houseboat and motorboat industry will change back into a backcountry and national park style recreation space. We are already seeing amazing hiking and paddling regions in restored canyons.  We will need to work with the tribes and all communities around the reservoir to move to a new recreation industry that provides for all of the region.
