1997 Colorado River Trip with Storm Waterfalls

We had the good fortune to be on a flatwater Colorado River trip (Glen Canyon, between Glen Canyon Dam & Lee’s Ferry) when a violent hail/rain storm blew in… small hail bouncing off of heads and sideways rain! The icing on the cake was all of the waterfalls that appeared on the canyon walls… too cool. Some of the people on the trip couldn’t get past the inconvenience of getting wet and could only complain… their loss! We got to see something that the guide said she only witnesses every 2-3 years. Video Credit: Scott Nuckles
