Viking Oil Well Planned in Glen Canyon
The National Park Service is soliciting comments on plans to build an oil well in the fragile redrock of the Glen Canyon National Recreation
Area and the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument. Write a letter to Kitty Roberts, superintendent of the Glen Canyon Recreation Area
urging her to protect some of America's most pristine wilderness.
Keep Water Out of Glen Canyon
There isn't enough water in Glen Canyon to fill Lake Powell now, and there won't be enough in the future. Write to Secretary Norton,
and Robert Johnson and Rick Gold urging them to store water in Lake Mead before refilling the Glen.
